One of the biggest surprises of this NBA season is undoubtedly Keyonte George, who is experiencing remarkable growth in his third year in the league.
The guard has been standing out with increasingly consistent performances, his numbers have clearly improved compared to previous seasons and establishing himself as one of the cornerstones of the Utah Jazz project in Salt Lake City.
George’s talent has not gone unnoticed by opponents either. In a recent interview, Donovan Mitchell took the opportunity to praise his progress, offering a significant endorsement of his future potential:
Keyonte George deserves to be an All-Star. I know both him and the coach who works with him personally, and I’m happy to see these constant improvements.

Will Hardy, head coach of the Jazz, has also been impressed by George’s recent performances, while addressing comparisons with Mitchell himself:
His ability to create is really important for us, especially when the game slows down. Donovan is a great player for whom I have a lot of respect because of his career – he’s spectacular. Keyonte is on his own path and needs to focus only on that. Fans and media can have fun with the comparisons, but I want him to stay focused on himself.

The Utah Jazz are still fully in rebuilding mode and may not yet have the potential to compete for an NBA title in the short term. However, with the continued development of Keyonte George and the affirmation of Lauri Markkanen as a leader, the dark days in Salt Lake City could soon be coming to an end.
