The 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup continued on Wednesday with defending champions Mexico beating Suriname 2-0 in Group A action at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Cesar Montes had two goals in the second half against Suriname to clinch the win. Mexico now shares the Group A lead with Costa Rica, with both teams tied on six points but El Tri have a superior goal difference. The two teams play Sunday to decide the group’s winner.
