NBA Playoffs, what happens to Fantabasket?

The regular season has ended, making way for the most thrilling part of the year: the NBA Playoffs. With the start of the postseason, the Dunkest Fantabasket dedicated to the Playoffs begins, offering a new challenge for all enthusiasts, with slightly different rules and dynamics compared to the regular season.

Teams not on the schedule

Teams NOT on the schedule (players, coaches, and those unavailable) will NOT be considered ‘resting teams’ and will NOT receive their average score but 0 points. Teams not on the schedule are obviously those eliminated or those already qualified, who are waiting for the opponent to face in the next round of the Playoffs.

NBA Fantasy Captain Picks

Are you unsure who to make captain for the Dunkest round? Here are our tips, one for each turn.

Centers

Mitchell Robinson (New York Knicks, 5.3 cr)

In Game 2, he played more minutes than Towns due to a coaching decision – and delivered some promising results. It’s unlikely the same scenario will repeat in Game 3, to be honest, but given his great value, leaving him out of your lineup would be a huge mistake.

Forwards

Obi Toppin (Indiana Pacers, 6 cr)

The 3 fantasy points from Game 16 don’t do him justice. At home during these Playoffs, he’s often stepped up his game, and considering his price, we think he could be a great bench option. Plus, he’s facing his former team – a detail that might give him some extra motivation.4o

Guards

Donte DiVincenzo (Minnesota Timberwolves, 6.3 cr)

The T’Wolves are really missing his offensive contribution. His fantasy points have taken a hit due to poor shooting, but the trust in him remains strong. He’s always managed to step up in front of the home crowd, and we believe Game 3 against the Thunder could be no different.

Coach

Chris Finch (Minnesota Timberwolves, 8.6 cr)

In the first two games of the series, the Thunder’s dominance was, at times, overwhelming – but the T’Wolves have the talent to compete. For Edwards and company, Game 3 is practically a do-or-die situation, and we believe that the motivation factor could make all the difference.
