After years of struggles and disappointing seasons, the New York Knicks are now just three wins away from an NBA championship. A milestone that seemed unimaginable not too long ago.
The start of the 2026 NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs was anything but easy. New York found itself trailing by 14 points in the second half and spent most of the night trying to claw its way back. But when things got truly difficult, the Knicks turned to the man they always trust: Jalen Brunson.
The former Maverick took over in the fourth quarter, scoring 13 points in the final 12 minutes and pouring in 11 straight points during the most critical stretch of the game.
The play that ultimately put the game away was the basket that gave New York a six-point lead, ending any hopes of a Spurs comeback and paving the way for a 105-95 victory.

Karl-Anthony Towns
Game 1 belongs to the Knicks, but more than the final score, one feeling stands out: this team has real character. And with a Brunson playing at this level, New York has every reason to dream big.
