Tyler Herro returned to the floor and played as if he hadn’t spent a month sidelined with an ankle injury. He dropped 24 points on a rock-solid 12-of-18 shooting night, leading the Heat in scoring, and helped secure a key 106-102 win over the Mavericks – not bad for a season debut.

But more than the numbers, Miami seemed to regain a fundamental piece of its identity, especially with Norman Powell forced to sit due to injury.

It was great. I missed being here and being part of all this. I’m happy — and happy about the win too.

Tyler Herro

Herro found his rhythm quickly without forcing the issue, picking his spots to attack and trusting the flow of the game when needed. Bam Adebayo – who finished with 17 points and 6 rebounds – summed it up perfectly:

He didn’t overdo it. He played at his own pace and came out with a great game.

Watching him move on the court, it looked like the same old Herro: decisive, smooth, confident in his abilities.

Jaime Jaquez Jr. (13 points, 6 rebounds) didn’t hide how much the group had missed him:

His presence, his smile… it’s great to have him. Not just on the court, but in the locker room too.

Jaime Jaquez Jr.

Words that show how Tyler Herro is more than just a scorer — he’s a voice, a connector.

And the rest speaks for itself: Miami is 12-6, riding a five-game winning streak, and gets one of its most important players back right as the season starts to take shape. Herro already looks in rhythm, as if he hadn’t missed a single possession. And for the Heat, that’s almost as valuable as another win.
